The ADS1110 is a precision, continuously self-calibrating analog-to-digital (A/D) converter with differential inputs and a resolution of up to 16 bits, housed in a small SOT23-6 package. An on-board 2.048V reference provides a differential input range of ±2.048V. The ADS1110 operates with an I²C-compatible serial interface and is powered by a single supply voltage ranging from 2.7V to 5.5V. It can perform conversions at rates of 15, 30, 60, or 240 samples per second. The on-board programmable gain amplifier (PGA) offers gains up to 8, enabling high-resolution measurements of small signals. In single-conversion mode, the ADS1110 automatically powers down after a conversion, significantly reducing current consumption during idle periods.
