Product Description
1. Chip Introduction The GD32E230xx devices belong to the value line of the GD32 microcontroller series. This is a new 32-bit general-purpose microcontroller based on the ARM® Cortex®-M23 core. The Cortex-M23 processor is an energy-efficient processor with extremely low gate count, designed for use in microcontrollers requiring area optimization and deeply embedded applications. The processor delivers high-efficiency instruction sets and extensively optimized designs through a compact yet powerful architecture, providing advanced processing hardware including a single-cycle multiplier and a 17-cycle divider. The GD32E230xx devices feature an ARM® Cortex®-M23 32-bit processor core operating at up to 72 MHz, with Flash access at 0–2 wait states for maximum efficiency. They offer up to 64 KB of embedded Flash memory and up to 8 KB of SRAM. A wide range of enhanced I/Os and peripherals are connected to two APB buses. The devices include a 12-bit ADC, a comparator, up to five general-purpose 16-bit timers, one basic timer, a PWM advanced timer, and standard and advanced communication interfaces: up to 2 SPIs, 2 I2Cs, 2 USARTs, and 1 I2S. The devices operate at a supply voltage of 1.8 to 3.6 V and are available in a temperature range of -40 to +85°C. 2.
