Product Description
The AD7606/AD7606-6/AD7606-4 are 16-bit, 8/6/4-channel, simultaneous sampling analog-to-digital data acquisition systems (DAS). Each device features analog input clamp protection, a second-order anti-aliasing filter, a track-and-hold amplifier, a 16-bit charge-redistribution successive-approximation ADC, a flexible digital filter, a 2.5V reference voltage source, a reference buffer, and high-speed serial and parallel interfaces. The AD7606/AD7606-6/AD7606-4 operate from a single 5V supply and can handle true bipolar input signals of ±10V and ±5V, with all channels capable of sampling at throughput rates up to 200kSPS. The input clamp protection can withstand voltages up to ±16.5V. The AD7606 maintains a 1MΩ analog input impedance regardless of sampling frequency. Its single-supply operation, on-chip filtering, and high input impedance eliminate the need for drive op amps and external bipolar supplies. The anti-aliasing filter of the AD7606/AD7606-6/AD7606-4 has a 3dB cutoff frequency of 22kHz; at a 200kSPS sampling rate, it provides 40dB of anti-aliasing rejection. The flexible digital filter, pin-configurable, improves the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and reduces the 3dB bandwidth.
