The KSZ8863MLL, KSZ8863FLL, and KSZ8863RLL are the industry's smallest footprint, highly integrated 3-port switch ICs. They are designed to enable the next generation of low-port-count, cost-sensitive, and energy-efficient 10/100 Mbps switching systems. Low power consumption, advanced power management, and sophisticated QoS features, such as IPv6 priority classification support, make these devices ideal for IPTV, IP-STB, VoIP, automotive, and industrial applications. The KSZ8863 series is designed to support GREEN requirements in today's switching systems. Advanced power management schemes include software shutdown, port shutdown, and energy detect modes to disable transceivers when ports are idle. The KSZ8863MLL/FLL/RLL also provides a bypass mode for system-level power savings. In this mode, a processor connected to the switch via the MII interface can be powered down without affecting normal switch operation.
