Among all USB2.0 hub solutions, the GL850G has demonstrated superior compatibility, lower power consumption, and an optimized cost structure. The GL850G offers multiple advantages that simplify board-level design and help system integrators achieve the lowest Bill of Materials (BOM) cost. It integrates 5V-to-3.3V and 3.3V-to-1.8V step-down regulators into a single chip, eliminating the need for external Low Dropout Regulators (LDOs). Additionally, its power enable pin supports both high-level and low-level enabled power switches, providing greater flexibility in component selection. The GL850G features an embedded 8-bit Reduced Instruction Set Computer (RISC) processor for operating control/status registers and executing responses.
